By: Chad, Ben, Matt, and Thibaut The Stapler Project By: Chad, Ben, Matt, and Thibaut

This is our project Built mostly with items found in Estabrook 13 Items used: PBC pipe Wood Board Stapler Metal Hooks Steel Ball Kinetics Wheel Springs Fishing Line

In The Beginning Fishing line is attached to the mouse trap Line then tips the cup over This allows the ball to roll into the pipe

As The Ball Rolls The ball falls into the pipe The ball then hits the hammer The hammer then hits the stapler, stapling the paper

Rocketman As the stapler goes down it pushes down on a piece of metal This piece pulls out a nail that releases the pipe, launching the green man This man is launched by a set of two springs on the other side of the fulcrum.

In The End After the ball hits the hammer, it rolls back through another pipe Ending in the pocket we created using a spindle and a piece of metal.

Purpose Purpose: To staple papers hand free and also launch the little green man. Assumptions: Mass of Ball=.067kg; Mass of Flask=.041kg; Mass of Man=.013kg; Mass of Hammer=.558kg; Equations:F=kx V of Ball=Sqrt(2gh) Conservation of Energy Conservation of Momentum S2=S1 + (V1+V2/2)t
