Hybrid Aluminum Polymer Capacitors

Type HZA Hybrid Capacitors are a hybrid cross between aluminum electrolytic and aluminum polymer capacitors. Combining the advantages of each technology, type HZA has the ultra-low ESR characteristics of conductive aluminum polymer capacitors packaged in a V-chip, SMT case with high capacitance and voltage ratings previously available only in aluminum electrolytic technology.

Introducing: Type PFCH and PFCS 3-Phase AC Capacitors

Type PFCS 3-Phase Power Factor Correction Capacitors Inductive loads, such as motors, cause current and voltage to be out of phase, resulting in low power factor. This increases KW usage and some utilities charge a penalty if PF falls below a certain value.. Capacitors are used to correct power factor to bring it closer to “unity” Banks of capacitors may be used in automated PFC equipment that switches in capacitance based on demand.

Type PFCH 3-Phase Harmonic Filter Capacitors Typically the output of an AC inverter has significant harmonics voltages of the (3rd, 5th and 7th) that cause distortion and noise on the line. Capacitors are used on the AC output to filter out, or smooth the voltage to make more sinusoidal (eg. 60Hz sinusoidal) before it is supplied to the grid or a load. Some PFC applications also require harmonic filtering.

Type PFCH 3-Phase Harmonic Filter Capacitors To meet the demand for higher harmonics filtering, PFCH capacitors are made to handle higher current than ordinary PFC capacitors. Applications for PFCH capacitors include inverters for solar and wind, line conditioning and UPS systems.
