Phase 1 Project Status: Construction Continued sidewalk modifications on West side of Flower Street between 23rd and Washington Continued procurement of the 61” water line for Work Package A4, 61” Water Line Relocation Continued potholing for utilities in Segment A FFP continues submitting construction submittals for trench construction Continued exploratory drilling at Flower/Exposition grade separation to support final trench design 2

Phase 1 Project Status: CPUC Grade Crossing Applications 44 crossings on the project require CPUC approval 39 grade crossing applications have been filed 5 grade crossing applications require additional analysis prior to submittal to the CPUC Farmdale Ave. Watt Way Trousdale Pedestrian Crossing Menlo Ave. Vermont Ave. Protests have been filed on all 36 grade crossing applications CPUC Staff have protested 8 grade crossing applications 3

Summary of Jobs Program Activities: March 2007 Hired 1 new construction worker in March. A total of 13 out of 39 workers have been hired who live within Expo Corridor zip codes. Continue to add individuals to existing database of Expo Corridor residents for a total of 330 interested individuals. These individuals will be tracked and FFP will work with CBOs to identify skill sets, qualifications for apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship training, and readiness to enter into union and skilled positions. Participated in the Los Angeles Urban League’s Annual Community/Job Workforce Fair Participated in the Caltrans Disparity Study Workshop Participated in the SCLC Labor & Community Dialogue Panel Discussion Supported the Employment Development Department Job Fair to promote the Expo Local Jobs Program

Phase 2 Project Status: Alternative Analysis/EIS/Conceptual Engineering Published Notice of Intent in the Federal Register Prepared Scoping Material for Initial Public Meetings Distributed 92 Scoping Letters to Participating Agencies Conducted Agency Scoping Meeting Conducted FTA and PMOC Project Tours Began coordination with Metro on Ridership Model Began data collection for Purpose and Need statement Met with Cities of Los Angeles and Santa Monica to coordinate bike path design

Phase 2 Project Status : Community Outreach Organized four Scoping meetings in Los Angeles (2), Culver City and Santa Monica attended by approximately 700 people Provided Scoping meeting notices through: 34,000 Postcards(1/4 mile either side of ROW) 40,000 Flyers Newspaper ads, Email blasts, Notice to elected officials and Public Service Announcements Organized the Phase 2 Project Webpage at http://www.buildexpo.org/phase2 Received and began organization of several hundred Scoping Comments Provided a project update to the Westwood Homeowners Association Set up Phase 2 Project telephone line
