Danger Identification Used to identify the perimeter of a hazard. The stripes are BLACK and YELLOW or can be ORANGE.

Fire fighting Identifies fire alarms, extinguishers etc. RED square background with WHITE writing or diagram.

Mandatory Gives orders e.g. eye protection must be worn. BLUE circular sign with WHITE writing or diagram.

Prohibition Prevention e.g. no smoking WHITE circular background with RED border and cross bar.

Safe condition Indicates safety points e.g. first aid, fire exit etc. GREEN square background with WHITE writing or diagram

Warning Identifies dangers e.g. danger of electric shock. YELLOW triangle with BLACK border and BLACK writing or diagram.
