HOPE ON THE MARGINS

Father God, Through your son, Jesus, you know what it is to be an outsider. To be unwanted, unwelcome, rejected. You gave up a place of perfect love to bring good news to the people on the margins of society. Thank you for crossing boundaries to share a life-changing message of hope.

We pray for those who need to know and experience your love this Christmas. For those living with guilt and shame, may they know they are cherished, and loved, just as they are.

For the homeless, may they find sanctuary in your arms For the homeless, may they find sanctuary in your arms. For those of other faiths, may their minds and hearts be open to you. For all those on the margins of society, we pray they will reach out and find you there beside them.

May London City Missionaries overflow with compassion, courage and care as they go out to London’s unloved, overlooked people. We long to see communities transformed by your power and love this Christmas. To see broken families healed by grace. To see lost people discover a life of purpose and hope.

To see those who believe they are worthless restored through your love. Please, Heavenly Father, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, hear our prayer for those who don’t yet know the radical new life he came to offer. Amen
