Project to Develop a Fully Autonomous Vehicle for a Field Environment Field Robot 2013 - 2014 Project to Develop a Fully Autonomous Vehicle for a Field Environment

Current status Mechanical assembly of axle modules and chassis is complete Some PCBs have to be manufactured Computer system is running CAN networking has been established Next 5 weeks before Field Robot Event Finishing critical programming Testing on our own field Tuning parameters

Problems and Challenges Time management Coordinating work between a large group is challenging Tasks may take longer to complete than expected -> accumulated delay Problems may arise even very late in development Unfamiliar technology Even very simple things may take a while to learn and master

Progress in Images Axle module with wheel modules. Wiring missing from picture. Central electronics board. All electronics, apart from the Local UI and the Cut-off circuits, are installed on a single piece of polycarbonate for easy access and maintenance.
