GSICS EP-17 Biot, France June 2 - 3, 2016 CEOS WGCV mission The CEOS Working Group on Calibration & Validation (WGCV) Mission is to ensure long-term confidence in the accuracy and quality of satellite-based Earth Observation data and products and provide a forum for the exchange of information about calibration and validation and associated coordination, and cooperative activities. Objectives: Sensor-specific calibration and validation Bio-geophysical validation Means: Exchange of data, technical information and documentation Possible coordination opportunities for space and ground segments rel. obj. Coordination of Cal/Val activities (campaigns, programs, etc.) Agreement of common terminology and definitions
