WGCV/LSI-VC collaboration being formalized through teleconferences and inclusion of LSI at WGCV-42 WGCV is working with CEOS Chair team on interoperability for moderate resolution sensors including Vice-Chair’s participation in formulation team Interaction with GSICS continues to strengthen WGCV chair attending GSICS Executive Panel Meetings/GSICS GSICS/GRWG attending WGCV Plenary Joint activities, such as GSICS/CEOS Reference Solar Spectrum study Subgroups are interacting at the working level Combined meetings (MWSG, ACSG) Attendance at each other’s meetings (IVOS) Atmospheric Correction Inter-comparison (ACIX) Task team is compiling results from 12 atmospheric correction model packages that are part of the comparison 2nd Workshop held April 11-12 Results will be presented at WGCV-42.

LPV subgroup is working closely with NASA HQ to address Carbon Actions related to biomass Addressing Carbon Actions LPV & WGCV Secretariat taking lead on initial set of 3 WGCV-assigned actions Further actions will be assigned at WGCV-42 RadCalNet* beta testing concluded with a workshop at the IVOS Subgroup meeting on March 13 Dates and places of forthcoming meetings WGCV 42, May 16-18, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, hosted by EROS Data/USGS

2017 CEOS Work Plan includes CARB-19 to be completed by Q4 2017, related to listing of land product validations by summarizing current list of validated land data products relevant to Carbon Strategy, documenting validation framework and protocols, and providing guidance for online platform for inter-comparison of terrestrial carbon products LPV has taken the lead on this activity Completion of this activity will lead to recommending that Carbon Action #8 would be closed and significant progress on five other Carbon Actions Completion dates for CV-1 (Update of WGCV web site); CV-3 (Preflight calibration workshop); CV-9 (RadCalNet) have been modified and there are no issues expected in completing actions Progress continues on CV-13 related to ACIX and CV-14 related to cloud masking WGCV provided two new actions: CV-15: L1 top-of-atmosphere interoperability – due Q4 2017 CV-16: Report on outcomes from GSICS/CEOS reference Solar Spectrum evaluation
