How is the disorder passed down? Mutation of the FMR1 gene on the X chromosome Genetically passed Usually inherited from a mother who is a carrier of the condition How is the disorder passed down?

What are the symptoms of the disorder? Behavioral problems Emotional problems Mental retardation Autistic-like features Varying degrees of mental impairment Delays in learning how to sit, walk and talk Speech problems Anxiety Sensitivity to light, sounds, touch and textures What are the symptoms of the disorder?
