Collaborative Room Project Virtual Collaborative Meetings SOW 6373 Clinical Supervision George A. Jacinto

New Goals for Course Increase reflection about online group collaboration Add Reflection questions for group facilitators Encourage members to develop strategies to engage those who do not share or share little with the group Ask participants to reflect on skills needed to effectively function in the online discussion

Objectives Conduct a discussion about a particular topic in the Chat Room Maintain focus on the task to be accomplished during the discussion of the weekly problem Articulate challenges of using text based communication as a staffing and collaborative tool Recommend ways in which the Chat Room format can be enhanced to increase collaboration and reduce the amount of time to resolve issues.

Changes Move information about chat rooms to first session the involves Praxis exercises Arrange for task assignments for each week (leader, recorder) Add reflection questions about the meeting process Development of ideas to engage those who do not share in the group Development of reflections questions for students to answer after they have facilitated the group session

Implementation Schedule Changes will be completed in WebCT by the end of December, 2002 Course to be offered in Spring 2003 or Spring 2004
