Hotel PowerPoint Project Today, you are going to design a PowerPoint presentation. Your PowerPoint will be about a Hotel. There are many different types of hotels, so you will need to choose one. Research your Hotel’s website, find additional information about your hotel, and design a colourful, appealing PowerPoint presentation to show to others in the class.

Your task You are going to design a PowerPoint, when it is finished, you are going to upload it to Wikispaces. Your PowerPoint needs to have six slides. An introduction and conclusion are mandatory. There are 8 options for what you can put between the Introduction and the Conclusion. Choose 4 options from the eight.

1. Introduction – Show us your hotel, tell us it’s name, and tell us something like, this is one of the best hotel’s in the world, and give us 4 reasons why. History – when was the hotel built? Who built it? What has happened since it was built? Rates - What are the different room rates? What types of rooms are available? Features – What are the services the hotel offers? What types of amenities are available? Restaurant - Tell us about food services available. Location(s) – Where is the hotel located? What is special about its location? Things to do nearby - What kind of entertainment is available? Is your hotel located in a global hot-spot? Management – Describe the hotel’s business profile. How much profit is generated? Who are the owners of the hotel? Other - Your choice 6. Conclusion – Give us a summary of your hotel, and finish with a concluding statement.

Which hotel should I choose for my project? There are many hotels to choose from, there is a sheet with over 150 hotels being passed around, select one hotel from the list and place your initials on it. When should I start? You should start working on your project right away! As soon as you have selected a hotel begin researching, you have until the end of the period to complete your project. Where should I research? Find pictures of your hotel using Google images Use the hotel’s website, use Google Use Wikipedia.org to find additional information If you have a cell phone, you could call their 1-800 number and talk to their Front Desk clerk.

What do I do when I am finished? When you are finished, upload your PowerPoint to Wikispaces!

Make sure to use a specific file name, otherwise it will be lost! Before you upload, your file must be named: HRM1230 - Your Name - Your Hotel Name.pptx
