Hello, my name is Detective McSteele Hello, my name is Detective McSteele. I hear there is a case to be solved in Dallas, Texas, and I’m on the job.

So, lets introduce our main character. John F So, lets introduce our main character. John F. Kennedy, one of the most beloved presidents in US history became the 35th president in 1961.

As president, JFK dealt with important issues like civil rights, legislation, communism, the Cuban missile crisis, space travel, and the spread of nuclear weapons. As president, JFK dealt with important issues like civil rights, legislation, communism, the Cuban missile crisis, and the spread of nuclear weapons http://www.knowledgerush.com/wiki_image/7/70/Jfk2.jpg

Before the investigation, let’s go over the background of the case at hand. The year was 1963, and President John F. Kennedy was on the campaign trail for the upcoming election, in Dallas, Texas. http://www.texastechnicalproducts.com/images/Texas8.jpg

The President’s motorcade was driving through downtown Dallas and passed the Texas schoolbook depository in Dealey Plaza. The open limousine he, his wife, and Governor Connally were riding in was fired upon by a then unknown assailant. President John F. Kennedy was hit in the head and throat when three shots were fired at his open car. Texas governor John Connally was also hit and injured by the unknown sniper’s bullets. Both men were accompanied by their wives who were uninjured. http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2007/02/20/jacquelinekennedy_wideweb__470x315,0.jpg

The President collapsed into his wife’s arms as his limousine was driven at top speed to Parklands Hospital immediately after the shooting. He was alive upon arrival, but then died thirty five minutes after being shot. The nation mourned over his death; this picture is of his son at the funeral. http://www.microformatinc.com/images/son.jpg

Yep, that’s where I come in Yep, that’s where I come in. I will need to review all the evidence if I am going to solve this case. There are two theories to be tested here…

Theory 1: The Single Bullet Theory The single shooter shot the president from above and behind him from the Texas Schoolbook Depository. The one bullet passed through the President’s head and then through Governor Connally’s back (as seen in this diagram). If this is the case we would have to explain the location of the wounds orientation in the vehicle of both men, which would be very difficult. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/sbt.htm

Theory #2: Multiple Shooters There was one shooter in TSD for sure, and there might have been another one on the famous grassy knoll in front of the vehicle. Multiple shots would have been fired with one bullet hitting each man from the different locations. This theory is also difficult to prove because there is no clear cut evidence of another shooter that was located on the grassy knoll according to pictures and video evidence of the day. Possible location of shooter http://www.ourfamilyadventure.com/road_trip/dallas_grassy_knoll_street-thumb.jpg

I’m hot on the trail. The only question is what kind of animal could do such a thing?

Earlier in the day, I arrested a man named Lee Harvey Oswald who was thought to be behind the single bullet theory, and was also thought to be the only shooter in the president’s assassination. http://www.oorei.com/imagenes/mugshot.lee.harvey.oswald.jpg

Unfortunately, the suspect I had caught was shot dead before his trial Unfortunately, the suspect I had caught was shot dead before his trial. We still don’t know to this day who was behind his shooting, and why it happened. It could have been to keep Oswald from being convicted, or in retaliation to the president’s death. We will never know because there could never be a trial. http://www.school-for-champions.com/biographies/images/lee_harvey_oswald_3.jpg

We may never really know what happened the day John F We may never really know what happened the day John F. Kennedy was shot; there is not enough evidence to prove who did it, or why it ever happened in the first place. A very interesting case, and I will continue to search for answers!
