Definitions of Slope Slope is the rate of change of a linear equation. Slope is the direction and steepness of a line. Slope is rise over run. 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐧 Slope is the change in y over the change in x. 𝚫𝒚 𝚫𝒙 = 𝒚𝟐−𝒚𝟏 𝒙𝟐−𝒙𝟏

Slope-Intercept Form 𝒚=𝒎𝒙+𝒃 where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept (0,b)
