Look at the Picture. How do they feel? Why?

Think of a word for each picture Lean back Slumped Crossed/folded arms Crouched Bend down Crossed legs

What could these be? hunching crossing your legs maybe wrapping your ankles spread out a contemptuous glance an awkward wink stretch out take up space

Ask your partner In what situations do you think body posture is important? Do you notice other people´s body posture? Are you a fidget? Do you slump in front of the telly? Do you like to put your feet up? Have you got good body posture?

Any ideas what this might mean?

Listen to the talk

Comprehension What´s a high power pose? What´s a low power pose? Where did these ideas come from? How do we know humans have them too? What happened in the first experiment? What´s the link between testosterone and cortisol? Are high power poses good in interviews? Why is body Language important in the classroom? Why does she relate to people who ‘fake it til they make it’? What does the phrase ‘tiny tweaks’ refer to?
