Age of Invention Railroads George Pullman: George Westinghouse: Invented the sleeping railcar. George Westinghouse: Invented the air brake, making travel much safer. Railroad connected raw materials to factories, and factories to consumers.

Age of Invention Communication Samuel Morse: Cyrus Fields: Invented the telegraph allowing messages to be sent over long distances instantly Cyrus Fields: Developed the transatlantic cable, able to send telegraph to Europe instantly. Alexander Graham Bell: Developed the Telephone, so you communicate over long distance with natural speech.
