SERUM BIOCHEMISTRY FINDINGS CALCIUM (mg/dl) 9.0 (9-11) PHOSPHORUS (mg/dl) 3.0 (4-8)

LABORATORY FINDINGS INTERPRETATION. NEUTROPHILIC LEUKOCYTOSIS LYMPHOCYTOSIS HYPO-PHOSPHATEMIA

TREATMENT AMPICLOX INJECTION 250mg i.m T.i.d. 5% DEXTROSE SALINE 500mls i.v HYOSCINE INJECTION 1ml i.m VITAMIN C 500mg per os.

REMARKS DIARRHOEA STOPPED A DAY AFTER COMMENCEMENT OF TREATMENT. APPETITE RESUMED BY THE SECOND DAY OF TREATMENT. PUPPY RESUMED WALKING BY THE FOURTH DAY OF TREATMENT. HOWEVER PUPPY RELAPSED INTO THE SAME CONDTION TWO WEEKS LATER.

REMARKS CONTINUED RECOVERY AND FREQUENT RELAPSES WAS OBSERVED IN THE NEXT 6 WEEKS OF MANAGEMENT. BILATERAL FIRM MASSES WERE OBSERVED ON THE ELBOWS. SIMILAR SWELLING WAS OBSERVED ON THE STIFLE

FURTHER MANAGEMENT ANTERO-POSTERIOR RADIOGRAPHS OF THE ELBOW WAS OBTAINED

RADIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS VARYING DEGREE OF MINERALIZATION OF THE PROXIMAL AND DISTAL METAPHYSIS THICKENED METAPHYSIS WITH IRREGULAR RADIOLUSCENT ZONE SEPERATING IT FROM THE PHYSIS OSTEOID INFILTERATION INTO THE SOFT TISSUE AND MARROW

DIAGNOSIS OSTEOSARCOMA CHONDROSARCOMA HYPERTROPHIC OSTEODYSTROPHY PAN-OSTEITIS

CONCLUSION OWING TO FREQUENT RELAPSES AND MULTIPLE BONE INVOLVEMENT, PUPPY WAS EUTHANISED. PATHOLOGY REVEALED MARKEDLY ENLARGED RADIO-ULNAR AND TIBIO-FIBULA BONES AND THICKENED PERIOSTEAL TISSUE. HISTOPATHOLOGY REVEALED IMPACTION OF THE TRABECULAE .
