2  43 year old Malay Female  OD  blurring of vision,  no redness,  no pain Ocular and General History

3  BCVA: OD-CF@1ft, OS-6/.5  AC: no cells, no flare, Ocular Examination

4 First Presentation – Fundus OD  retinal haemorrhages and exudates and possibly some retinochoroiditis lesion

5 First Presentation - Investigations  FBC – Normal  Toxoplasma titres:  increased IgM, IgG  HIV- negative

6 Diagnosis  Toxoplasmosis induced posterior uveitis  based on  clinical picture  serology

7 Treatment  anti-toxoplasma treatment  oral Azithromycin – 500mg stat followed by 250mg OD for 6 weeks  oral corticosteroids – 40mg/day for 1week followed by tapering dose for 6 weeks

8 Follow up –Fundus OD AB C D A: baseline, B: at 2 weeks resolving lesion, C: at 1 month resolving lesions, D: completely resolved with occluded vessels

9 Summary clinical picture was very typical, leading quickly to the diagnosis clinical picture was very typical, leading quickly to the diagnosis complete visual recovery complete visual recovery no relapse no relapse
