Part 2 “Living In 3D” Exodus 33:11 2 Chronicles 13:22 Zechariah 4:1–6 & Romans 8:12–17

Exodus 33:11 Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.    2 Chronicles 13:22 The rest of the acts of Abijah, his ways and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

Zechariah 4:1–3 1 And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. 3 And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”

Zechariah 4:4–6 4 And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” 5 Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” 6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.

Romans 8:12-14 12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Romans 8:15-17 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Today’s Lesson “Living In 3D”

Walk-across-the-room people are people who live life in “3D”; they CONSTANTLY look for ways to: Develop friendships

The majority of adult friendships are based on proximity. God’s purpose for us doing this series, is that we would learn to use our proximity with unbelievers, for HIS Purpose. Turning Proximity Into Purposeful Pursuit.

Develop Friendships Exodus 33:11 Thus the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.

Exodus 3:1-3 1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father- in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. 2 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”

Exodus 3:4-6 4 When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” 5 Then He said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” 6 And He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Develop friendships… in order to Discover stories Walk-across-the-room people are people who live life in “3D”; they CONSTANTLY look for ways to: Develop friendships… in order to Discover stories

2. Discover Stories 2 Chronicles 13:22 The rest of the acts of Abijah, his ways and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo. They are written in the Story of the Book of the Kings

People’s stories are records of their lives. 2. Discover Stories Story = מִדְרָשׁ midrāš = record. midrāš. Record. Our word represents a written historical record (a place to “search out something”). People’s stories are records of their lives.

2. Discover Stories Why do we need to know the stories of unbelievers? A person’s story reveals or discloses, who they are! It gives us a glimpse into their heart.

2. Discover Stories How do we get others to tell their story?

2. Discover Stories How do we get others to tell their story? Just ask over a cup of coffee, or lunch.

2. Discover Stories How do we get others to tell their story? Just ask over a cup of coffee, or lunch. YOU MUST LISTEN!!!

2. Discover Stories How do we get others to tell their story? Just ask over a cup of coffee, or lunch. YOU MUST LISTEN!!! Be intentional, and persistent. Repeat it, it takes time for people to tell their complete story.

3. Discern appropriate next steps The devil paralyzes most believers because he consistently makes us doubt that we are able to share our faith: You do not know enough! What if they ask you a question that you can not answer? You will feel like a fool!

3. Discern appropriate next steps Zechariah 4:1–3 1 And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep.

3. Discern appropriate next steps The problem is, we have believed the lie of the devil. He makes us believe that it is all up to us. The devil is a LIAR!!!

3. Discern appropriate next steps Zechariah 4:6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zerubbabel = “sown in Babylon” Babel or Babylon = “confusion (by mixing)”. LORD = JEHOVAH = “The Existing ONE”

3. Discern appropriate next steps Zechariah 4:6 6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
