What’s a homophone? Homo- same Phone- sound Same sound

What’s a homonym? Homo- same Homo- same Nym- name Phone- sound Same name Homo- same Phone- sound Same sound

Their definitions Homophone- One of two or more words that are pronounced the same but differ in meaning, origin, and sometimes spelling. Homonym- One of two or more words that have the same sound and often the same spelling but differ in meaning,

How would you use these? Follow all sentence rules No rules with using them in the same sentence

How can you tell them apart? When reading homophones, look at the spelling. I found a hair. I found a hare.

How can you tell them apart? When they are spelt the same, look at the context.    The bear attacked the camper in the woods.   Lucy cannot bear the responsibility of taking care of the needy puppy. 
