Rigid Motions and Congruence

Rigid Motions A rigid motion is a transformation that changes the position of a geometric figure without changing its shape or size. Examples of rigid motions include the following transformation: - Translation - Reflection - Rotation

Congruent triangles have congruent sides and congruent angles. The parts of congruent triangles that “match” are called corresponding parts.
