In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house.

"Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you."

“Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”

Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David's ancient home.

He travelled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

Come ! Let us adore Him.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people”.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord”.

“And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”

“Where is he who has been born king of the Jews “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
