Minnesota Department of Health Gonorrhea Rates by Gender Minnesota, 1999 - 2008 Rates of gonorrhea are similar for males and females, unlike chlamydia rates. The majority of males (~95%) infected with gonorrhea develop symptoms that drive them to seek testing and treatment.
