David & Goliath 1 Samuel Chapter 17 – Chapter 18 verse 2

Did I hear you say Goliath? It seemed they might fight forever. One day a huge man strolled out from the Philistine side. Over ______ metres tall. I wonder what he looked like. Press the down arrow to see him. Press the Arrow Again. His name was? Did I hear you say Goliath?

King Saul’s army was the Israelites. Every day Goliath came and yelled. “if any man can defeat me we will be your slaves. If I defeat your man you will be our slaves.” King Saul’s men would run away in fear. David was a ____________at home minding the sheep for his father Jesse. His 3 brothers were in King Saul’s army.

What did David decide to do? David was sent off with some food for his brothers and to bring home news of how the battle was going. Just as he arrived Goliath gave his mighty challenge. David expected someone to go and fight but they all ran away in fear. David wanted to know who the man was that challenged the army of the Lord. What did David decide to do?
