Your child should read 20 minutes every night . Students need to read different genres to meet the 40 Book Challenge. The planner is located in your child’s G.O. book. What We Are Learning Read Aloud : Spiders by Gail Gibbons Comprehension: I can analyze nonfiction text and locate facts. Grammar: I can identify types of sentences. Phonics: I can spell words with consonant digraphs (ex. chip, whale, ship, phone). Writing: I can write a personal narrative and include details to help my reader visualize. I can write in complete sentences. Math: I can represent and solve problems involving addition and subtraction. Social Sciences: I can research a bat of my choice and write an informational “All About” book from my findings. *Practice addition math facts. This will help your child with 3 digit addition and subtraction. Flashcards and Sum Dog are two great resources to help your child. October 31 is our Book Fair Lunch. Please come join your child on Tuesday at 12:15 for lunch and to visit the AEEC Scholastic Book Fair. Meet us in the classroom (Room 703 in the Orange Pod).
