Presentation transcript:

Embedding core tools and techniques for sharing knowledge Utilising external evidence and organisational knowledge: opportunities The Idea: To routinely use a variety of tools and techniques to share knowledge effectively. As a starting point the tools and techniques described in the NHS Knowledge Management Framework by NHS Digitial should be routinely adopted Impact: Cost and time efficiency savings by using tools and techniques to use knowledge effectively and share learning before, during and after projects. Reduce risk by learning from the mistakes made by others Implementation tips: Ask your specialist health librarian to show you the Knowledge Management Postcards and discuss with them how they can support you to use these tools and techniques routinely. Share the tools and techniques with all senior leaders and heads of departments Make it a requirement of all project proposals that the steps outlined in the NHS Knowledge Management Framework are followed For further information take a look at NHS Improving Quality, The Learning Handbook or the Knowledge Management Learning Resource, 2012 For further information see the KM Toolkit
