Webelos Transition Purpose To prepare Cub Scouts to become Boy Scouts. Create a Desire to Continue on…. Generate Interest. Explore New Activities.

What can the Pack? Get the Webelos to know other Scouts. Go to Summer Camp !!!!! Know ALL your Boy Scouts Troops . Get to know the Troop Leadership. Use Unit Commissioner & District Staff. Have Join Activities with Troops. Use Den Chiefs from the troops. Get the Webelos to know other Scouts. Gives Leadership Opportunities to Troops. Make Sure Webelos Den Leaders at working with the troops. Consider transferring any scout earned funds to the troops. Even those normally not bridge too.

What Den Leaders Do? This is an Arrow of Light Requirement! Plan Activities and Den Meeting Start using Open & Closing Format. Start making Activities more independent. Emphasis Scouting Basics Skills. Use Den Chief(s). Encourage All Webelos to Continue. Organize Day Activities with Troops. Organize Overnight Camping Trips with Multiple Units. This is an Arrow of Light Requirement! The Arrow of Light is the Highest Cub Scout Award. It is the only Cub Award that can be worn Boy Scout Uniform. Visit units at Camporee, Camp Outs, Mall Shows, etc.

Webelos 2nd Year Activities November & December Organize Troop Visit. Make Sure Troop Visits are Top Notch! Emphasis to Troops – Visits need to be Organized. Full Meeting with Opening & Closing. Informative for Both Webelos & Parents. Fun!! Encourage Webelos to Continue. Continue Planning Arrow of Light Ceremony.

Arrow of Light & Bridging Ceremony See Scouting Magazine Visit Council Office Research the Web Get Webelos to do part Invite Webelos 1 and Bears! Involve the Cubmaster Take Slow. Do Not Rush it! Emphasis on Highest Award Plan a Celebration Congratulate Scouts on Completing the program. Praise and Honor Den Leaders & Parents. Bridging Have a Bridge! Have Scoutmasters Involved Welcome Scouts into Troops. Have Troops give something to Scout.
