MVA Results Selection efficiency before Inc B DiMuon: 72,852 events = 0.285% Tau 2 3 Mu: 12,443 events = 11.6% Selection efficiency after MVA Cut on variable ‘MVA_FisherResponse’ at optimum value (geometrical cuts only) Inc B DiMuon: 5,623 events = 0.022% Tau 2 3 Mu: 7,300 events = 6.8%

MVA Results Selection efficiency after MVA + further cuts Cut on: Muon PIDmu > 5, muon PIDK < 20, muon PIDp < -20 Muon track fit χ2/ndof < 2 Tau vertex direction > 0.9999 Tau vertex IP χ2 < 150 Inc B DiMuon: 21 events = very small! Tau 2 3 Mu: 1,012 events = 0.95%

MVA Results Selection efficiency after MVA + further cuts Need ~ 1 background event and ~ 1% signal selection to be competitive Need to include L0 trigger response – expect ~ 10% Investigate further using DOCA, nShared, clonefinder, IPS mu etc...
