Bringing together relevant entities in the region to review the status of climate services showcase the uptake of information in adaptation decision-making provide information on best practices and lessons learned

2nd AfriGEOSS Symposium Delivering Earth Observations for Policy & Sustainable Societal Impact in Africa Key questions How are climate services being implemented in Africa? What is the status of the development of National Adaptation Plans in African countries? What are the coordination mechanisms on the regional and national level? What are the national data needs for adaptation? To what extent can the AfriGEOSS Initiative support the efforts in the region?

2nd AfriGEOSS Symposium Delivering Earth Observations for Policy & Sustainable Societal Impact in Africa Expected Outcomes Raising awareness on the role of climate services for adaptation efforts in Africa Foster discussion on the role of climate adaptation in the context of AfriGEOSS Roadmap towards engagement with the relevant entities
