Reflection of the Culture WW1 Artists, intellects, and writers moved to neutral Zurich, Switzerland. They opposed the war.

Physical Appearance Anything that defied the “norms” of society. (Believed these norms to be oppressive.) Irrationality, chaos, and impermanence are likely to occur in Dada art.
