The Earth The Earth is the third planet from the Sun. The moon orbit the Earth.

THE EARTH’S MOON The moon reflects light from the Sun. The moon looks as if it’s changing shape. Phases of the moon

THE EARTH ROTATION AND ORBIT The Earth rotates on its axis. This rotation is why we have day and night. It takes twenty-four hours to complete the rotation.

THE SOLAR ECLIPSE A solar eclipse only happens during a new moon. It happens when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, and blocks the light from the Sun.
