Introduction to Automobile Insurance Automobile insurance is insurance purchased primarily cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other road vehicles. Its main use is to give financial protection against any damage sustained in an accident or any other kind of physical damage your vehicle might sustain. It can also provide financial protection against bodily injuries you can receive in collisions.

Facts About Insurance In 2007, the average auto insurance expenditure nationwide was $795--$22 less than the prior year and $34 less than in 2005. In Norway, the driver must have the minimum of liability insurance to drive any kind of vehicle on the road. In 1930, the UK government introduced a law that required every person who used a vehicle on the road to have at least third party personal injury insurance.
