Solar System A part of the galaxy which is made up of the sun and the countless objects that revolve around it. Objects include: planets, asteroids, comets and meteoroids

Planets 2 types of planets: Terrestrial: solid, rocky crust Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars Gas Giant: larger, gaseous, and less dense than terrestrial planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune EARTH IS THE ONLY PLANET TO BE KNOWN WITH LIQUID WATER TO SUPPORT A VARIETY OF LIFE.
