Where We Are With RBA Applied RBA to both population and performance accountability (service systems) for WAG Flying Start programme Greater focus initially on performance accountability with service managers as easier for managers to ‘have a go’ All services now have a report card in place but not all have populated the card with real data Programme population report card in development Can see the contribution programme does/could make to higher strategic outcomes

Hot Topics Knowledge about & appropriate analysis of statistics – How do we know whether the information really shows what’s going on? Over what period of time would it begin to show validity Is using ‘home-made’ non-validated rating scales okay? How do we know whether or not they are measuring what we think they are measuring? Are they credible? Data management tools – What tools are there for the simple management and retrieval of data? (collecting qualitative data in a quantative way!)
