All cultures and religions have Holy people All cultures and religions have Holy people. Christians call their Holy people Saints.

Who are Saints? They are excellent role-models; They are very good at teaching people to live lives of goodness; They can act as channels of God’s power; They have generous, unselfish behaviour; They have a special relation to what is holy; They are able to show others God’s love.

A Saint. A saint is someone through whose life we learn what God is like and of what we are called to be. Only God 'makes' saints. The church identifies Saints from time to time, so that we can try to be like them.

A Saint. A saint is an example of holiness that I can follow with confidence. The person who kept on trying when everybody else gave up. Someone who touches the inner lives of others in ways that transform them for the better, bringing them closer to God. Could be you!

Could you be a Saint? Are you a Saint?
