Understanding Macbeth Questions to Consider ~ Act One ~

How brave is Macbeth? “For Brave Macbeth, well he deserves that name…” (1.2.17-18). “ [E]very one did bear thy praises in his kingdom’s great defense” (1.4.103-04).. “Wouldst thou… live a coward in thine own esteem” (1.7.45-7).

How do the witches influence macbeth? “If ill,/ Why hath it given me earnest of success/ Commencing in a truth” “If good, why do I yield to that suggestion/Whose horrid image doth unfix my hair…”(1.3.144-48).
