What is a cognate? What is a noun? A cognate (cognado in Spanish,) are two words in two different languages that are spelled similarly, pronounced similarly, and have the same meaning (equal translation.) These words are related by descent from the same ancestral language. What is a noun? A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea.

¿Cómo se dice noun en español? What is a suffix? A letter or a group of letters that is added to the end of a word/root word to change its meaning or to form a different word. ¿Cómo se dice noun en español? Sustantivo
