Summary: In exactly 50 words, sum up the story line of Rabbit Proof Fence. Use your notes from the trailer viewing task.

Film techniques used in the trailer You will see a series of images, for each identify the camera technique and write the reason why it is used in relation to the meaning it creates.

TEEL paragraphs Answer the following question using TWO TEEL paragraphs. How are film techniques used in the film trailer to create meaning? Write about two different techniques and their effect. One paragraph per technique.

TEEL Paragraphs In the trailer for Rabbit Proof Fence, Low angle shots are used to show power and strength. The characters who are shown using a low angle are placed into a position of power. An example of this is when Mr Neville is speaking about half caste children. He is powerful in this situation because he decides the fate of all half caste children in the state. Another example is at the end of the trailer, Molly is shown with a high angle as she reaches home and defies Mr Neville, taking power from him. Therefore, it can be seen that low angles are used effectively to indicate the power of various characters and how the power changes over time.
