Sections Right-click on a slide to add sections. Sections can help to organize your slides or facilitate collaboration between multiple authors. Notes Use the Notes section for delivery notes or to provide additional details for the audience. View these notes in Presentation View during your presentation. Keep in mind the font size (important for accessibility, visibility, videotaping, and online production) Coordinated colors Pay particular attention to the graphs, charts, and text boxes. Consider that attendees will print in black and white or grayscale. Run a test print to make sure your colors work when printed in pure black and white and grayscale. Graphics, tables, and graphs Keep it simple: If possible, use consistent, non-distracting styles and colors. Label all graphs and tables. Before beginning, please make sure your computer has this PowerPoint program installed.

Find & click-on the green “Start” button, located on the bottom left corner of your screen. Next, locate & click-on “All Programs.”

Some computers may have the PowerPoint Program located on the left-hand side, above the “All Programs” section, in the “All Programs” section, or as a shortcut on the desktop.

First, click on the “Home” tab, on the upper left hand corner of the screen. Click-on “Layout” and choose one of the ready-made design templates and layout for your slides, as shown in the sample below. Give a brief overview of the presentation. Describe the major focus of the presentation and why it is important. Introduce each of the major topics. To provide a road map for the audience, you can repeat this Overview slide throughout the presentation, highlighting the particular topic you will discuss next.

After selecting your design template & layout, choose your font style and size. You may change the color of your font as well. Now, you are ready to start typing your text. This is another option for an Overview slides using transitions.

If you want to add a picture, image, clip art, or chart, click-on the “Insert” tab and select what you would like to add.

Now, you can start creating each slide of your PowerPoint Presentation Now, you can start creating each slide of your PowerPoint Presentation. When you are ready to make a new slide, go to the “Home” tab & click-on “New Slide” to add/create a new slide.

Remember…When creating your PowerPoint presentation, keep it short, simple, and organized. Include visuals like charts, illustrations, and diagrams to help your audience understand what you are talking about.
