VISION The vision of the Plattsmouth Volleyball Program is to become an elite program in the Eastern Midlands Conference, and in the state of Nebraska. In doing this, it is important for our youth to participate in our program. It is important that to become a powerhouse program, our volleyball players must participate in organized, competitive volleyball play throughout the school year. This could include Club Volleyball, Camps, and Clinics offered by the School, Coach Smith and any other positive skills or court play opportunities that will benefit the student athlete.

Philosophy at PCMS We are a 7-12 program entering its 4th season. As a staff, we create many opportunities to introduce the fundamentals that student athletes will need to compete in a high school level. Our mission is to create an instructional, structured environment where student athletes can learn the basic skills of volleyball, mixed with understanding of team sports, living with a positive attitude and taking pride in our sportsmanship/school. We value building relationships with these student athletes and we gear towards an advancement in both individual skill levels as well as working as a team.

Philosophy at PHS PHS VB Program strives to produce well rounded and motivated athletes who show responsibility for their community. Our athletes are held accountable for their behavior as a part of our organization, for their efforts at home and their academic performance. Participants will learn to be disciplined, hard working and fair. Our goal on the court is to teach all of our players the complete game of volleyball so that they will be prepared for the next level and beyond. Individualized skill instruction is continuous, as is the development of the team concept. Higher level skills are an expectation at this high school level. The ability to be an excellent teammate, and an understanding of the student athletes role in the program is also a must. We take pride in who we are and what we have achieved and the direction we are going in Plattsmouth.

PROMOTE education on and off the court INCREASE self confidence and self esteem through skill acquisition BUILD a community in which parents, players and coaches are responsible for each child’s success DEMONSTRATE that girls can accomplish greatness through teamwork ENCOURAGE sportsmanship and to provide an environment of support and encouragement for ALL to participate DEVELOP character, teamwork, and sportsmanship in an enjoyable environment CREATE fun through the passion of volleyball
