The Legend of Sleepy Hollow By Washington Irving

In the small town of Sleepy Hollow in New York, there is a legend about a headless ghost who rides a horse in the night. People said the ghost rides around each night looking for his missing head.

Long ago in Sleepy Hollow, there was a small school with a teacher named Ichabod Crane. The people of Sleepy Hollow liked him because he told stories and sang in the church.Life was pleasant for Ichabod, except for his problem with a girl.

Ichabod was in love with Katrina Van Tassel Ichabod was in love with Katrina Van Tassel. However, other men in the village also loved Katrina. One of these men was a man named Brom Bones.

Brom Bones was a large, strong, and handsome man Brom Bones was a large, strong, and handsome man. Ichabod was too smart to fight with Brom for Katrina, and he decided to let Katrina choose between the two men.

Brom liked to play tricks on Ichabod by making messes in the schoolhouse. Brom’s jokes continued until one Halloween night when everything changed…
