19. The Old Dutch Church
Ichabod Crane’s flight from the headless horseman ends at the bridge leading into the yard of the Old Dutch Church. The 3-acre burying ground around the church is the purported final resting of local citizens who likely inspired Irving’s characters and also of the horseman himself.

In 1999, director Tim Burton released his film Sleepy Hollow based on Washington Irving's story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The film starred Johnny Depp as police constable Ichabod Crane, who is sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders by a mysterious Headless Horseman.
