I can… Essential Question: How can I use place value? This study guide will help your child review our current math chapter. These “I can” statements show the concepts we are learning in class. Use this as a review with your child throughout the chapter and to prepare for the chapter test. Essential Question: How can I use place value? Numbers that end with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9. ones: the numbers in the range of 0-9. A place value of a number. 853 3 is in the ones place place value: tells the value of a digit in a number. repeated addition: to use the same addend over and over skip count: count objects in equal groups of two or more tens: the numbers in the range of 10-99.
