All are welcome to add to the knowledgebase of river health in South Carolina! This training will provide classroom and hands on instruction for volunteers on how to: Select an appropriate monitoring site; Use equipment properly and best storage practices; Collect sample media for macroinvertebrates; Identify taxa and what their presence says about a river’s health; Enter data to assign a rating for your site; Practice safety in the field at all times! AAS Data can only be entered by a certified volunteer. Please join us and bring a friend or family member who will sample with you. You are part of a “Love Our Rivers” movement collecting hundreds of data points on South Carolina waterways! RSVP BY Information on how to register. Be prepared to get in a shallow creek!
