Normal EKG Parameters P-Wave <.12 sec. = represents depolarization of atria-preparation for contraction. PR Interval .12 - .20 sec = time for impulse to spread from atria to ventricles. QRS Complex 0.04 - 0.11sec = depolarization of the ventricles. QT Interval up to 0.43sec = electrical systole

Normal EKG Parameters T Wave <5mm in amplitude = repolarization of ventricles. U Wave = sometimes follows T wave, may indicate hypokalemia.

EKG Interpretation Each small box is 0.1 mV 5x5 small boxes are 0.5mV
