Establishing Guidelines Ensure healthier options are attractively presented, appealing and tasty
Establishing Guidelines: Fruits & Veggies 1.) Always provide a fruit and/or vegetable at each eating occasion in ample quantities, especially for all day meetings 2.) Try placing a fruit bowl, instead of a pastry platter, in the center of the table to encourage healthy snacking 3.) If you plan to offer dessert, offer fruit as well
Establishing Guidelines: Smart Catering When using a caterer, request larger portions of fruits and vegetables to make up half the plate
Establishing Guidelines: Beverages 1.) Always provide plain water and/or other unsweetened beverages 2.) If providing coffee or tea, make sure that fresh milk or cream are available instead of, or in addition to, sweetened, flavored coffee creamers
Establishing Guidelines: Whole Grains When grain based foods, such as breads, pastas, or breakfast pastries are being served, offer whole grain options as well
