Finding out what is acceptable to the Lord You Are Now Light (8-10) Finding out what is acceptable to the Lord Approving or declaring something as genuine Our walk declares to others and ourselves the truth of God and His ways – we believe it and apply it!
No fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness Have no fellowship (11-13) No fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness When we walk in the light we do so with integrity. No duplicity or compromise! Matthew 6:24 If we walk in the light, we avoid darkness! 2 Corinthians 6:14, 11:14
Is it enough to avoid darkness? Have no fellowship (11-13) But rather expose them Is it enough to avoid darkness? While at times we flee ungodly circumstances, (2 Tim. 2:22, 1 Cor. 6:18, 15:33, etc.), when it comes to darkness we make sure others know we don’t approve!

It is shameful even to speak of those things done by them in secret Have no fellowship (11-13) It is shameful even to speak of those things done by them in secret While some openly boast of their sinful conduct, often there are underhanded things happening secretly. Others, seek to hide their conduct (cf. 2 Peter 2:2-3, Matthew 7:15-16)

Are we walking in love and in the Light? 1 John 2:6
