Walk as children of light You Are Now Light (8-10) Walk as children of light James 1:17, 1 John 1:5, God is light 1 Thessalonians 5:5, we are sons of light John 3:19-21, he who does the truth comes to the light… Romans 13:12, put on the armor of light.

With the fruit of the Spirit You Are Now Light (8-10) With the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23 Fruit is the results (produce) of something Goodness – Romans 5:7, Gal. 5:22 Righteousness Truth – John 17:17

Finding out what is acceptable to the Lord You Are Now Light (8-10) Finding out what is acceptable to the Lord Approving or declaring something as genuine Our walk declares to others and ourselves the truth of God and His ways – we believe it and apply it!

No fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness Have no fellowship (11-13) No fellowship with unfruitful works of darkness When we walk in the light we do so with integrity. No duplicity or compromise! Matthew 6:24 If we walk in the light, we avoid darkness! 2 Corinthians 6:14, 11:14

Is it enough to avoid darkness? Have no fellowship (11-13) But rather expose them Is it enough to avoid darkness? While at times we flee ungodly circumstances, (2 Tim. 2:22, 1 Cor. 6:18, 15:33, etc.), when it comes to darkness we make sure others know we don’t approve!

It is shameful even to speak of those things done by them in secret Have no fellowship (11-13) It is shameful even to speak of those things done by them in secret While some openly boast of their sinful conduct, often there are underhanded things happening secretly. Others, seek to hide their conduct (cf. 2 Peter 2:2-3, Matthew 7:15-16)

Therefore, He says, Awake, you who sleep,…Christ will give you light Something He said, though not specifically recorded cf. Isaiah 26:19, 60:1 In some way, they were warned by the Lord God

Therefore, He says, Awake, you who sleep,…Christ will give you light We need to wake up! Romans 13:11 We need to be alert, 1 Peter 5:8, Acts 20:28-30, 1 Thessalonians 5:5-8 To walk in the light, we MUST wake up!
