Assembling during this effort is the best way to let others know of your support and approval

3. Gathered to hear the gospel proclaimed
1 Corinthians 15:1-2, 2:1-2, Acts 2:42, they “apostle’s doctrine”, Acts 10:33
During this gospel meeting we will hear the plain gospel proclaimed

4. Opportunity for us to grow in Christ
2 Peter 3:17-18, Philippians 1:9 abounding in knowledge and discernment
Gospel meetings, while challenging are opportunities for us to grow a little more

5. Share the good news with others
Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 24:47- 48, preached in His name among the nations 1 Thessalonians 1:8, the word of God sounded forth…
An opportunity for us to share God’s word with others. More opportunities

6. Preparation to be here, our minds and hearts
Ezra 7:10, prepared his heart 2 Timothy 2:21, Ephesians 6:15, feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
Any worthwhile effort requires preparation. What are you doing?

7. Examples to others
Philippians 2:15, shining as lights in this crooked generation
By our example the world will see the Lord and His church are important to us. Will they see sacrifice? Or convenience?

8. Love will motivate us
1 Corinthians 16:14, let all that you do be done with love!
When our love is what it ought to be, doing what is pleasing to Him will be at the forefront (cf. John 13:34-35, Matt. 22:37-39)

9. Minding the things of the Spirit as we follow His pattern?
Romans 8:5, are we minding the things of the flesh or Spirit?
The Spirit convicts through the gospel – 1 Thessalonians 1:5, 1 Peter 1:12, John 16:13
If we are to be convicted, it will be by the gospel being preached in purity!

10. Edification – a benefit of our assembling
1 Corinthians 14:12, 26, let what we do be for edification!
This happens when every part does its share Ephesians 4:16
This is an opportunity to edify and be edified!

11. Exposing – the works of darkness
Ephesians 5:11
Gospel preaching reproves and rebukes (2 Tim. 4:2-3) The gospel is a sword - Ephesians 6:17, Hebrews 4:12, cf. Matthew 10:34
As the truth is preached, errors will be exposed! Perhaps this will lead to someone repenting.

12. Taking time to worship God!
John 4:24
Worship must be according to His pattern!
Worship is a privilege we ought to look forward to Psalm 122:1, Psalm 84
Consider all God has done for us, will we give Him the time He deserves in praise and worship?

13. Invitations are needed
We need to be inviting others – Romans 10:13-15
An invitation will be offered at each assembly – to make your life right – Acts 2:40, Matthew 11:28-30

14. Now is the day of salvation
We don’t know how many more opportunities we will have
2 Corinthians 6:2, cf. 2 Peter 3:9, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11, James 4:14
We need to avail ourselves of these opportunities right now

15. For this work to succeed, WE have to get to work
Go and make disciples
Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15
The life of a Christian is about going and doing
