(D) Comparative DNA (polymerase chain reaction) analysis of the biopsy material from the tonsil and the cervical lymph node showed identical clonal rearrangements of the heavy-chain immunoglobulin genes (IgH), thus confirming the presence of the same neoplastic clone in both.
