Job Market Requirements

By the year 2020 Kansas needs 71% of workers to have a postsecondary certificate or degree. Approximately 36% need to have a bachelor’s degree or higher Approximately 35% need to have a certificate or associate’s degree

NSC Data Reports Include all reporting institutions (98%) including 2- & 4-year, public & private All reports available aggregately at state, district and building levels For District & Building, disaggregated down to individual student

What NSC data will show you……… Enrollment in fall following graduation Full-time/part-time status Persistence in college (enrolling for a second year) Number of students enrolling at in-state vs out-of-state PS institutions Students who graduate within 6 years

Five Year Graduation Rate 84.2% Five Year Success Rate 54.4% Five Year Effective Rate 45.6% 83.0 54.5 45.2 84.9 53.0 45.0 85.6 55.2 47.2 85.8 55.8 47.8 Graduation Rate: The 4-year adjusted cohort graduation rate is the number of students who graduate in four years with a regular high school diploma divided by the number of students who entered high school four years earlier (adjusting for transfers in and out). Success Rate: The sum of the percentage of students who enrolled in postsecondary in both the first and second year following high school graduation plus the percentage of students who graduated from postsecondary. Effective Rate: The percent of 9th graders in a cohort who graduate in four years with a regular high school diploma and either enroll in postsecondary in both the first and second year following high school or graduate from postsecondary (graduation rate x success rate).
