WP5 - Objectives WP5 aims to prove in concrete experiments the concepts established by WP3. - 2 proofs will be carried out in correspondence of deliverable D3.1 and D3.2 - The results of the proofs will inform the evolution of the Roadmap design. The execution of the proofs of concept will be based on the re-use of the eCulture Science Gateway produced by INDICATE. INFN agreed to upgrade the service with the upload function that will enable the content providers to store their data. 6 pilot sites for the proof of concepts are foreseen in Europe, led by EGI.eu: - Italy with e-infrastructure facilities provided by INFN & data provided by ICCU - Poland with e-infrastructure facilities and data provided by PSNC - Hungary with e-infrastructure facilities provided by NIIFI and data provided by Hungarian cultural institutions that will cooperate with NIIFI - Sweden, Belgium and Estonia, with e-infrastructure facilities provided by the NGI exploiting the Memorandum of Understanding signed in the frame of DC-NET and data provided by the DCH-RP partners.

Description of work and role of partners Task 5.1 - Technical planning of the first run of proof of concept (month 1 - 3) EGI.eu Task 5.2 - Upgrade of the eCulture Science Gateway (month 1 - 6) – INFN Task 5.3 - First proof of concept (month 6 - 12) – EGI.eu Task 5.4 - Second proof of concept (month 15 - 21) – EGI.eu
